Santa Rosa Dental Implant Options - Replace One or More Missing Teeth Today

Dental function and self-confidence are often limited when teeth are missing, whether that’s just one tooth or a full arch.  Santa Rosa implant dentist, Kenneth L. Alford, DMD has been placing dental implants since 1987 and uses these teeth replacements to help patients regain the function and form of their smiles.

Implant placement is a common procedure that allows patients to enjoy their favorite foods again and smile with confidence. Contact us today to schedule your exam and consultation for the longest lasting dental restorations available.

Single and Multiple Tooth Prosthetics

The base of a dental implant is a titanium post, which is integrated into the patient’s jawbone. To replace a single tooth, a natural-looking porcelain crown is securely fixed onto the post. This treatment is ideal for patients with otherwise healthy smiles, as neighboring teeth do not need to be shaped to support crowns.

Dental implants are also used to replace multiple teeth, using bridges or removable and fixed dentures. Dr. Alford offers multiple treatment options, dependent on each patient’s individual needs and preferences.

Dental implants offer many advantages over other teeth replacement options, including:

Santa Rosa Dental Implants | Single, Multiple, Full Arch & More
  • A natural appearance
  • Regaining the full function of the bite
  • Ease when brushing and flossing
  • Permanence of the restoration

Am I a Good Candidate for Dental Implants?

Qualified patients for dental implants have an acceptable baseline of oral health, allowing for the proper integration of the post into the bone. Certain patients with gum disease or long term tooth loss require pre-treatments to be accepted as a candidate. If your jawbone is not strong enough to support implants, Dr. Alford can suggest regenerative bone grafting to make your jaw better suited to receive a dental implant.

Our Dental Implant Process

Implants are placed under local anesthetic, sometimes with mild sedation. We use a 3D Cone Beam CT Scan, which allows us to plan your dental implant treatment with an accurate 3D image of your jawbone, ensuring excellent results.

The crowns used to restore the implants are designed using CEREC software and milling technology. This process creates unique, fitted restorations for single-tooth prosthetics within our own office.
